ABOUT SABAWOON RADIO
Launched in 2004, Radio Sabawoon was one of the first commercial radio stations in Helmand, providing the foundations for an accessible media outlet for local citizens. Today Sabawoon offers18-hours of Daily broadcasting, and programming including local and international news, sports, current affairs, documentaries, music ,children’s programming lifestyle and entertainment. Radio Sabawoon intends to excite, engage and motivate Afghans to chart their own future through dynamic programming which is reflective of the needs and wants.
Coverage
We are expanding radio Sabawoon Coverage to three districts (Musa Qala, Greshk and Garamser). Two of the towers have been already built and now working on the third one in Musa Qala. By the completion of the expansion plan Radio Sabawoon will cover 85% of Helmand province and will have the largest coverage in the region.
